Kitty Up Optimal Purées are manufactured in South Korea. Kitty up is the only manufacturer from south korea that is registered with the FDA. There are no other manufacturers or brands that are registered with the fda. Our FAcility is HACCP and ISO certified. We take this very seriously as we have noticed brands coming out of South Korea that are not registered through the FDA. FDA does not certifiy pet products. All manufacturing facility must go throuhg a very tedious process to get registered.

2. Why are there no vegetables or fruits in your optimal purées?

Cats are obligate carnivores. this means that they are not able to digest vegetation.

3. Why is there sucrose in your product?

Sucrose is an ingredient used to make Fructooligosaccharide (FOS). The conversion of sucrose into fructooligosaccharide involves breaking down the sucrose into its component glucose and fructose molecules and then reassembling these fructose molecules into short chain frutooligosacchardie through an enzymatic process. Fructooligosaccharide is used as a prebiotic and provides nourishment for beneficial bacteria in the digestive system of cats.
